The fixtures for this season’s Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign have been unveiled by Premiership Rugby with some great contests for supporters to look forward to throughout November (rounds 1 & 2) – returning in January and February 2018 for rounds 3 & 4 with the final set for March 17th 2018.

Scarlets have been drawn in to Pool 3 along with Saracens, Northampton Saints and Worcester Warriors and will face the team in Pool 2.

The region’s Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign will get underway on Sunday 12th November at Parc y Scarlets as the Scarlets take on Aviva Premiership Champions Exeter Chiefs, kick-off 3pm. The following weekend the Welsh regions will go head-to-head with the Scarlets heading to Rodney Parade to take on the Dragons on the weekend of 17/18/19 November.

Rounds 3 and 4 will see Scarlets’ exciting young talent take on Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop (26/27/28 January) before returning to the Parc on 2/3/4 February to welcome Sale Sharks.

The Ospreys will face Bath, Cardiff Blues, Gloucester and Wasps.

The unique format of the competition has seen the Ospreys drawn in Pool 4 where they will compete alongside Leicester Tigers, London Irish and Newcastle Falcons, with fixtures against the teams in Pool 1 to guarantee each team four games, home and away.

Wasps and Bath will visit Ospreylia, with both competition games this season being held at the Liberty Stadium, while the team face two short away trips, to play the Blues and Gloucester.

The Ospreys have played against all four teams in this competition in recent seasons. There was a memorable trip to a sold out Recreation Ground to face a full strength Bath side, Sam Burgess and all, in February 2015, where a memorable last minute Matthew Dwyer try sealed a 13-10 win for the Ospreys.

Cardiff Blues actually hosted the Ospreys last season, when Tom O’Flaherty (2), Scott Otten, Brendon Leonard and Dan Evans all crossed the whitewash in a comfortable 31-7 win. That same season saw Gloucester defeat the Ospreys 32-25 at Kingsholm while Wasps will be seeking revenge for a home loss just six months ago at the Ricoh Arena, Kieron Fonotia, Hanno Dirksen and both Jay and Dan Baker touching down in an impressive performance, finishing 31-22 to the Ospreys.

Cardiff Blues

Cardiff Blues are in Pool One along with Gloucester Rugby, Bath and Wasps and will face opponents in Pool 4 – with games against Ospreys, London Irish at home and Leicester Tigers and Newcastle Falcons away.

Dragons Rugby

Dragons Rugby are drawn in Pool Two with Sale, Harlequins and Exeter Chiefs and will play opponents in Pool 3 – Saracens, Scarlets, Northampton Saints and Worcester Warriors.
