Cardiff Blues and Ospreys Premiership Select teams will warm up for the new British & Irish Cup competition at a friendly at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on Wednesday 4 November (KO 7.15pm).

For the first time ever, Wales will be represented in the British & Irish Cup by combined Regional Premiership squad teams this season following a wide-ranging review of competition structures across the game in Wales.

The Cardiff Blues Premiership Select team has been drawn in Pool 4 this season against Nottingham Rugby, London Welsh and Cornish Pirates.

The Ospreys Premiership Select team has been drawn in Pool 3 and will come up against Munster ‘A’, London Scottish and Yorkshire Carnegie.

The Scarlets Premiership Select team has been drawn in Pool 2 and will play Bedford Bulls, Bristol and Ulster ‘A’.

The Newport Gwent Dragons Premiership Select team has been drawn in Pool 5 and will play Connacht Eagles, Jersey and Doncaster Knights.

Full details of fixtures, dates and times, and venues for the competition are expected to be confirmed later this week. The British & Irish Cup gets underway on the weekend of 13/14/15 November.
