Newport Gwent Dragons’ Toby Faletau says his team are highly charged for this Saturday’s home European quarter-final highlighting the fixture as a one of the most important games of his career at Rodney Parade.

After returning from Wales duty in the Six Nations, Faletau’s priority is this Saturday’s all-Welsh European Challenge Cup quarter-final against Cardiff Blues at Rodney Parade.

“This is definitely the biggest game I’ve been involved in since I’ve been with the Dragons,” he said.

“I haven’t played in a quarter-final with them before.

“The boys have had a smile on their faces in training and we are just looking ahead to the game.

Faletau will be up against some recent team-mates this Saturday, with his Wales Six Nations colleagues Warburton and Gethin Jenkins expected to be in the Blues set-up.

“Once you are on the pitch, you are playing rugby, no matter who is in front of you,” he said. “It can be hard coming back into the region after being away with Wales but the boys have been helping me pick them up again,”

“There’s a great feeling around training and at the stadium – it’s going to be a big day for everyone involved.”
